Hello,
Trying to backup a CentOS 7.2 (7.2.1511) Server (HP Z440), first using 3.2.2 stable version and 3.3.0 test version.
The resulting DVD won't boot.
Our server has no internet access so I did download rpms from ftp.mondorescue.org<ftp://ftp.mondorescue.org>, and then installed them locally so I surely missed something.
First set of rpms installed (yum localinstall) :
afio-2.5-1.centos7.x86_64.rpm
afio-debuginfo-2.5-1.centos7.x86_64.rpm
buffer-1.19-8.centos7.x86_64.rpm
buffer-debuginfo-1.19-8.centos7.x86_64.rpm
mindi-3.0.2-1.centos7.x86_64.rpm
mindi-busybox-1.21.1-1.centos7.x86_64.rpm
mindi-debuginfo-2.1.8-1.centos7.x86_64.rpm
mondo-3.2.2-1.centos7.x86_64.rpm
mondo-debuginfo-3.2.2-1.centos7.x86_64.rpm
pbmkbm-0.14.4-1.centos7.noarch.rpm
perl-File-BaseDir-0.03-14.el7.noarch.rpm
perl-File-DesktopEntry-0.08-1.el7.noarch.rpm
perl-File-MimeInfo-0.21-1.el7.noarch.rpm
perl-IO-Interface-1.05-2.el7.x86_64.rpm
perl-Module-ScanDeps-1.10-3.el7.noarch.rpm
perl-MondoRescue-3.2.2-1.centos7.noarch.rpm
perl-Net-IPv4Addr-0.10-6.el7.noarch.rpm
perl-ProjectBuilder-0.14.4-1.centos7.noarch.rpm
project-builder-0.14.4-1.centos7.noarch.rpm
rpmbootstrap-0.14.4-1.centos7.noarch.rpm
Second set :

pbmkbm-0.14.5-0.20170323110927.s2220.centos7.noarch.rpm

perl-ProjectBuilder-0.14.5-0.20170323110927.s2220.centos7.noarch.rpm
project-builder-0.14.5-0.20170323110927.s2220.centos7.noarch.rpm
rpmbootstrap-0.14.5-0.20170323110927.s2220.centos7.noarch.rpm
We backup our RHEL7 servers (Z440 too) with mondo successfully (version 3.2.1), with the same options.
For the moment we're using a workaround on Centos, using mondo to ISOs with option -A growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/cdrom=_ISO_
Any idea why mondo doesn't directly burn bootable dvd on Centos 7.2 ?
Best regards
Mike

mondoarchive -O -V -H -r -p $HOSTNAME -E "$EXCLUDE_LIST" -N -d /dev/cdrom -g -s 4480m -9 -S '/tmp' -T '/tmp' -l GRUB -z
When burning DVD, no "boot" options are used when calling growisofs....See log attached. The resulting DVD won't boot.
